makeup tips: splurge or save

1. If you don’t have a lot of blemishes or if you don’t need a lot of coverage don’t buy foundation. As an end result it’ll only do more damage to your skin. Instead opt for a concealer that is slightly lighter than your natural skin tone. It’ll reflect light to your needed areas and hide away your blemishes. I say definitely SAVE on a concealer. Try a drugstore product first. A lot of drugstore and higher end products have the same formulas. It’s just the name that is different. If it doesn’t work out for you or if the color doesn’t match, no worries you can still return it (:

2. If you have more blemishes that you need to cover up SPLURGE on a great brush. I recommend the MAC 187 ($42) duo fiber stippling brush. It gives you an even airbrushed look. The quality of your makeup brush goes a long way. The better and sturdier your bristles, the more flawless your complexion will look. Can’t afford the MAC 187 just yet? Try the Japonesque Travel Size Stippling Brush ($28) or the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabubi Brush ($16).

3. SPLURGE OR SAVE on a great foundation. Everyone wants great complexion. Fake a great even toned face with a great foundation(: For this option you can choose if you want to splurge or save. If you feel like splurging go for a foundation like Makeup Forever High Definition Foundation ($40). It has small flexes of glitter/shine that reflects light. It makes your face looks silky smooth. It gives light to medium coverage. For me, at this moment, I choose to SAVE. I use L’oreal Tru Match Foundation ($10) and Revlon Photo Ready Foundation ($14). Both of these foundation gives you medium to full coverage. It’s a great every day wear. I wear the L’oreal one everyday. It’s almost a matte color with little to no shine. The Revlon one is a great wear for a night out. It def. gives you great coverage and it makes your face look flawless when you take pictures(:

I hope these tips help some of you out there and if you have some great SPLURGE OR SAVE TIPS comment below and tell me. I would love to hear some recommendations for you guys!
